Jory Des Jardins pioneered social marketing as Co-Founder and President of BlogHer, a media marketplace representing thousands of digital influencers, which reached 100 million monthly unique viewers at the time of its successful acquisition by SheKnows Media in late 2014.
As the primary evangelist of social influence to agencies and brands such as P&G and Coca Cola, Jory established and grew strategic partnerships with top advertisers and revenue partners. She led the operational transition into more data-driven, performance-based campaign models, quantifying digital influence and enabling thousands of independent content creators to monetize both their content and influence, a model that underpins today’s model for influencer marketing.

As an operator, Jory's passion is working cross-functionally, developing the strategy, partnerships, tools, positioning and teams necessary to scale and serve customer communities, be they digital influencers, content creators, local merchants, or “gig” professionals. Across her numerous roles at BlogHer, which included leading sales and business development, strategic partnerships, and client services, her focus remained on EBITA and optimizing revenue streams while building value on both sides of the influencer–publisher relationship.
As a startup advisor, Jory focuses on companies that are evolving digital influence, social content, and media models, focusing on consumer marketplaces and AR/VR/MR. She believes in “sustainable scale” that builds growth quickly while maintaining the customer community value proposition.

In partnership with another entrepreneur, Stephanie Agresta, she formed Virago, a strategic advisory with a mission to generate unprecedented outcomes for female entrepreneurs by cultivating a community of entrepreneurs, investors, and executives. Virago folded into sister organization, SheWorx, in April, 2017. Jory sits on the SheWorx Board of Advisors.
She is a member of HiPower, a networking organization for senior women in the Bay Area.
She has spoken about entrepreneurship at the Commonwealth Club, NAWBO, Watermark, EWIP, BlogHer, True University, DraperU, Dreamforce and others.

As the strategic partner lead for BlogHer, Jory has presented best practices in digital and social trends to Fortune 500 companies and digital/media agency leadership. She pioneered new buying channels from mobile, video, ad technology, programmatic, licensing, and ecommerce technologies.
Today she speaks on new media technologies including VR/AR/MR. Her show, The Virtual Unknown, takes place in VR and explores the emerging medium--best practices, thought leaders, and emerging.
Jory served on the Board of Directors of the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB), the standard-bearing association serving the world's top digital publishers. Jory was named a Top Voice in Media in 2016 by LinkedIn. She has spoken as a tech/social media evangelist and entrepreneur at Brand Innovators, ad:tech, SES, Marketing to Moms, IAB, ANA, WOMMA, EWIP, EBWIB, CIMA, and at numerous companies, including P&G, Coca Cola, PepsiCo, Kraft, Unilever and General Motors.
